Ricoh has once again break the digital camera barrier and SHAKE the world with the new concept camera system.

Enter the new and exciting "GXR", the world first "Interchangeable Unit Camera System"....It simply ROCKS!!!

If you think m4/3 is a novel idea, a compact camera with big sensors and interchangeable lens, wait till you see what the GXR has to offer.

Now hear this, the body has NO sensor, yes you read it correctly. Surprise! LOLLOLLOL Then why are you waiting, read on

With these new system, your imagination is the limit. You can have an APS-C sensor, a 4/3 sensor and even uses a full frame sensor on the same camera body....

so every time we buy a new lens, we have to buy a new sensor. I could not buy the idea.

Having said that, I would like to see the color from this GXR.

well, the lens, sensor and processing engine are built into the camera units and then slide into the body. With this system, the camera units can be chosen to best fit the different photographic scene. Advantage is the compact size, shooting flexibility, good image quality...

There are currently 2 camera units with different sensors available.
GR lens A 12 - 50mm F2.5 macro unit that uses a 12.3MP CMOS APS-C sensor.
Ricoh lens S10 24-72mm F2.5-4.4VC unit that uses a 10MP 1/1.7" CCD sensor.

here's a preview by dpreview. I think the setback would be the price tag.LOL
