There have been so many killer out there, but I am quite sure iPhone still has its place. The Droid is not a bad phone, but with so many different companies making Android phones - Please don't change and customize too much until the users are confused.

Looking at HTC and Samsung OMNIA, both releases Windows Mobile Phones, but their phones have been customized so much so that I have headache using them.

The good thing about iPhone is - same standard look (unless you jailbreak).

Yes, I have told many people - iPhone is just so special that you need to use it first, then only you realise how powerful it is.

It's just not a simple touch phone as others out there. So many reluctant buyers, but once they use it for a few weeks, they all say the same thing like you and me - I Cannot Live without IT !!!!!

I just couldn't believed iphone although alot of ppl claims that it is very good but I just realised that it cannot do the following

1.  iphone Bluetooth - Totally worthless piece of junk technology Angry
- Cannot connect to other phones and worst cannot even connect to another iphone because of the 25 bluetooth profiles, it only uses 2 profiles which is only probably good for connecting to BT earpiece and mac. So what's the use??? Confused

2. Music
- Cannot download MP3 etc from other websites except from itune and itune only have england music and i dun listen to england music. So what so good??? Ouch
- Although I can cut and paste my own music to itune and then sync with iphone but it is so troublesome. What if I dun have a PC. then how, die loh...

3. Downloads
- All this smartphone is supposedly to be mobile meaning to surf as you go but if there is a restriction on the size of the file you can download via GPRS, then do you still call that mobile??? Dead In case you are unaware, any file size above 10MB will need to connect to wifi for dL. What if I've no broadband at home, then how, everytime must go look for hotspot loh....faint lah....Moreover, with the current technology which type of file is still less than 10 MB, haloooooooooooo will that fruit pls wake up....Evil%20Smile

Let see what google nexus 1 has to offer...hmmm, hopefully not another fruity phone.

But then again, no choice I still bought a piece of that fruit. Tongue

100plus,

You've got an iPhone?

I used to own numerous phones that can have ultimate Bluetooth freedom, from Sony E, Nokia to HTC WinMo. But at the end of the day, I rarely use Bluetooth, because it's too slow to transfer files.

Of coz the more Bluetooth supports, the merrier. But I don't think I am gonna trade up my iPhone just because of its Bluetooth shortcoming.

Its Music is good and bad. Good, because with its business model, it became so popular that Music production company loves it. They can "sell" music to iPod/iPhone users easily. This makes its iTune store so successful that many other big players are mimicking. In return, this also makes Apple's products so 'well-known' and the hype arounds it.

Bad, if we want to 'kelong' MP3 files easily. There's no easy way to do that. Apple just makes it harder for people to 'share' music easily.

Downloads - the 10MB 3G cap is quite ridiculous actually. But come to think of it, this limitation is suppose to help unwary users from overusing their 3G bundled data. In Singapore, 12GB is perfect and it is almost unlimited to me. But some countries, for example Malaysia, their bundled data still starts from 500MB, 1GB, 2GB and 3GB max.

What I suggest is that, Apple to let the users decide or set, the max downloadable size for 3G, eg, 10MB....1GB, instead of hardcoded it as 10MB.

iPhone is definitely not the best phone but I am quite sure it's one of the more usable Smartphone.

I am also quite sure that in order to de-throne the iPhone, the newer generation of Smartphones. eg. Nexus One, would target its weaknesses.

Let's hope that with competition, the all phones will get better, but more importantly, do not sacrifice user-friendliness with tonnes of features. That's whay happend to my HTC Diamond - does everything, but none is good.

Happy iPhoning.

Yes, I bought the iphone Smile No, my wife took it away from me and declared its hers, Dead hahaha

From a user perspective, at least among most of my friends who own it needs bluetooth. It so easy to share files on the go using bluetooth than to go into itune and do all the sync thingy, waste of time.

For the music company it may be sound but for us end users, there is limited songs in the App stores, at least I can't find any chinese songs that I like in the App stores because it is very and I mean very very limited.

I agreed Apple should allow us to choose between GPRS and wifi for dL. The data plan in Singapore is simply enough for GPRS dL. Even we do video streaming online we also hardly use it up. If those user feels that they need more data bundle, in singapore, they can sign up for the unlimited data plan. Worst come to worst, there is only a max cap of S$30 for exceeding the data useage.

However, much said, some of the paid games are actually very interesting; e.g. Need for Spped - Shift....Its real addictive.....Come to that, Apple block all Adobe flash, so cannot play games on facebook using the iphone.

I don't think any smartphone can dethroned iphone with such a phenomenal sales on both the handset as well as the App stores downloads.

Nevertheless, I really hope that "fruit" can wake up one day and release some of the restrictions in future software updates.

Haha.... I don't jailbreak mine, but I do recommend to those who are more 'adventurous' or need more that what Apple allow its phone to do.

The thing I would like is to allow my iPhone Skype voice call via 3G, not only limited to WiFi.

But one thing that I solute Apple is, "smartphone can be as good as this" and this is a wake up call to the entire smartphone industries. The touch is so naturally, not needing a 'stylus' which is really annoying.
